Significant Other: Sharleen (Shar)
Offspring: Mike, Misty & Ripper (the Jack Russell)
Real Job:
semi retired. working parttime for IBM in Marketing Communications
Racing History: Raced sedans in the early 70's. First
car was a Rootes factory-prepped Hillman Super Minx formerly
driven by Francis Bradley. Then it was on to a Cooper S which
I raced for one season until the money ran out. Waited 28 more
years and like Johnny, I'm baaaaack.
Ran in the inaugural Targa Newfoundland in 2002 driving and navigating a 1959 MGA Coupe.
Speciality: Know enough to be slightly dangerous. Mechanically
inclined but no mechanic, however, always willing to lend a
hand to fellow racers or newbies.
About myself: Born in England though have spent most
of my life in Canada. I have always loved cars like my father
before me and was dragged around to Silverstone, Brands Hatch,
etc., as a small boy. My dad had some neat cars including an
old Bentley and assorted motorcycles. I run three times a week
to stay in shape, and if I'm not fiddling
with the car, I'm enjoying a good fictional novel or 'travelling to far flung places'.
