The club, because of its wide geographical area, does not hold regular meetings, but keeps members informed on current events and items of interest through its bi-monthly newsletter Vintage Racer and other mailings.

Racing is naturally the focus of VARAC activities, and these races are of two types. Some are run in conjunction with a regular Regional Race weekend, typically on the Mosport or Shannonville circuits. These events are a mixture of all the contemporary National race groups with a Vintage Race grid in addition to the open and closed wheel Regional grids. The vintage grid may be mixed i.e. open and closed wheel together both in Vintage and Historic forms.

Other race events are for Vintage/Historic race cars only. The high point of the year for VARAC is our Annual International Vintage Racing Festival, which is a 100% Vintage and Historic event. It's a requirement for Canadian residents wishing to race to be a member of a CASC affiliated club such as VARAC. With a current CASC race license you are able to enter races anywhere in Canada and the United States. VARAC and the other CASC organizing clubs recognize licenses issued by US Vintage Racing Clubs or VMC (Vintage Motorsport Council). CASC (Canadian Automobile Sports Clubs) ASN-FIA is the Canadian governing body for motorsport, and as such, is responsible for the control and overall organization of motorsport in this country.
