Welcome to the 2026 Open Wheel Invitation
The inaugural CASC-OR Open Wheel Invitational, presented by BARC-OC, is scheduled to be held at Canadian Tire Motorsports Park on July 25 – 26, 2026 with the test day on July 24. This event will be an open wheel event with six open wheel run groups, including:
Toyo F1600’s
F1200/Challenge Cup 1200’s/FV’s
Formula Ford – HFF/CF/MF
Formula Libre – Sub 1:26 lap times at CTMP – F1/F4/F4/FA/Indy Lights/F5000/F1000/etc.

Formula 90 (built between 1990 and the end of 2005)/F2000/Formula Renault/SuperVee/etc.
The event will be operated in accordance with the VARAC rules. The race weekend schedule will include 20 minutes of practice, 20 minutes of qualifying and three 25-minute races for each run group. The test day will alternate between the Fast Formula Libre Group and the other grids to avoid placing race cars with fast closing rates on track with slower race cars – 2.5 hours of track time will be available during the test day. We generated interest in attendance from a number of race groups including; two Formula Vee groups in the US and the US Formula Ford community among others. And following race groups are planning to or have already placed our event on their 2026 races calendars; the Vintage Atlantic, Vintage F2 and Vintage SuperVee series and the Monoposto Racing Club. We expect to have at least 120 race cars at the event, but we are hoping for many more than that.”
